amule Causes System Crash
After running amule for some time, there will be high disk activity and then the system will hang.
This problem occurs on both i686 and amd64 architectures, regardless of what desktop environment you use.
It started happening after I set a download limit, under bandwidth.
If you're experiencing the same problem, set the download limit to 0 and you should be fine.

Bra with Faulty Underwire Revived
There was this bra which was fine except for faulty underwires. I managed to extract the underwires using a pair of pliers without damaging the fabric.
The bra can now be worn again, as a non-underwired bra. :-)
Many years ago, I saw an old Australian man in a toy repair shop, sewing up a damaged doll fervently. The odd thing was, the shop was located in a premium district, right in the heart of Brisbane. On closer observation, I noticed that the shop was quite old, meaning it had been around for a long time. Now, how on earth does this gentleman manage to earn anything??? Surely, nowadays, it would be much cheaper to buy a doll off the shelves instead of repairing it?
On my train ride home, I pondered about it.....and finally, I realised something. Those dolls, toys or whatever, may be antiques or they may carry some sentimental value. In other words, in the eyes of their owners, the dolls were unique and irreplaceable. In the case of a doll bearing sentimental value, even if you manage to obtain a similar doll and offered it to the owner, she wouldn't take up your offer - she would still stick to her old ragged doll.
The doll owners weren't simply engaging the old man for his sewing or repair skills - he was definitely providing something much more than that.
This is something which evil and inhuman $in-gaporean reptilians will never understand.

Unity on Ubuntu
Unity, running on my laptop. It crawls like a snail (I've a dual core laptop here, and not an ancient one). Gays will love this! :PFellas, get ready for the uniquely Ubuntu gay eXPerience, cos the next version of Ubuntu will be rolled out with Unity as the default interface. Lol.
I'm gonna issue an apt-command now to eliminate this gay interface and install LXDE. It'll probably take me just 5 minutes. That is the beauty of Linux. :-)

$lut Flashed Her "Garfield"

"my mates and i saw them in concert in brisbane about 10 years ago and the leadsinger had a miniskirt on and no undies and we could all see her garfield.. we got our monies worth!!"
What a $lut!!!
But hey, it's not as bad as it sounds. At least she's not ugly like $hameless $in-gapore $luts. I mean, after all, there were people who got their money's worth. :P
Here's my favourite song from this Aussie band:

Whiners & Gurus
In today's world, we often get overwhelmed by the torrent of complaints that come our way in whatever we do.There are people who are genuinely concerned with big issues that will bring about serious consequences, but then there are also whiners ($in-gaporeans fit this profile perfectly) who are obsessed with every minute detail, not because they have everyone's interest at heart, but because they want everything done according to their whims and fancies - it also gives them a boost to their overblown egos cos they think they're showing others how "smart" they are in pointing out the "flaws" of others. Let's face it. No one decision will ever please these whiners, cos they'll never stop whining.
My advice: Listen only to those who don't whine 24/7, on almost everything - chances are, they're warning about "pearl harbour".
Twice is enough to set the alarm bells ringing if it's a serious issue, and I won't waste any more "ammunition" firing warning shots.
To the untrained eye, there is no difference between one who informs developers of a serious system security issue and a whiner who whines about control buttons being placed "on the left when they should be on the right". But really, no one gives a damn as to what ordinary laymen think of me.
If there's any whiner reading this now, you must be fuming with rage by now. Well, your attention-seeking antics haven't gotten you anywhere. You've got to bring something relevant and substantial to the table before people start listening to you. But you can't do that, cos you lack even basic IT skills.
One cannot be an auditor unless he is an accounting expert. It's not surprising though, that I find so many "auditors" out there in $in-gapore who don't even know the fundamentals of accounting. It's also not surprising to find pastors who preach things that are contrary to the Word of God.
Complaining and picking on others without knowing a thing - it's a typical $in-gaporean behaviour.
You may continue doing what you're doing, but you'll only fool imbeciles like yourself.

Biostar MCP6P M2+ V6.2 Died After Bios Update
I updated the bios of a Biostar MCP6P M2+ V6.2 motherboard to 61PBM629.BSS (dated 29th June 2010) and when I rebooted the system, the whole system died. The screen went blank and there wasn't even the familiar beep to signify system initialisation. Now, I had double-checked that I had the correct bios, so there was no apparent reason why that happened. This motherboard really sucks!
Well, I tried removing the CMOS battery and putting it back on again to reset the bios, but that didn't work. It turned out that I had forgotten to unplug the power supply! Doh!
So, I turned off my UPS, removed the CMOS battery and put it back in again. This time round the screen showed the updated bios.
Grrrrrr!!! But, oh well, at least it came back to life. :P
There will be people whose first response would be, "Haha, idiot!" The majortity of these imbeciles reside in $in-gapore. Experience tells me that these are the people who don't know what to do when such a situation arises. In every situation, they'll go into a state of frenzy and panic. The only thing they will do is curse and shout at others to solve their problems, and if you are foolish enough to help them, they'll curse and swear at you while your working; after the job is well done, they'll tell everyone how you screwed things up and take the credit for themselves.
Am I going to help these imbeciles and get cursed? Why, of course not! I'm waiting for them to dump their "faulty" hardware so that I can pick them up! Lol.
It is amazing, isn't it? Just as Death or Life is determined by a (seemingly) simple choice made by the One, this one simple decision by you can change how the world treats you. :-)
But if you ponder a bit deeper, you'll realise that the decision isn't ours to make. Ever since I stopped helping those imbeciles, my life has been a lot better. I'm getting more rewards and there aren't so many smart alecs around me anymore. In other words, it might have been God trying to correct my attitude and my lax choice of company.
Think about it. ;-)

Amarok - MySQL vs SQLite
I haven't used Amarok for more than 6 months and the first thing I encountered when I launched it was the missing collection problem, although in my case, it was a lot less complicated than what the others faced. All I did was set up a MySQL database and the problem was solved.
Here's how you can set up a MySQL database for Amarok:
MySQL setup for Amarok Do note that you can use any password you want.
MySQL is a lot faster than SQLite if you've got a huge music collection (like me). So, for those of you out there who are still using the default SQLite, it might be worth the while to switch to MySQL.

'Beer Belly' Linked To Alzheimer's Disease
People who have a big beer belly are at increased risk of developing dementia, say researchers.
This is a result of binge drinking, heavy smoking, laziness, lack of exercise and last but not least, gluttony; This is why you see 20 year-old $in-gaporeans (male and female) carrying gigantic beer bellies. But of cos, there are those who take illegal amphetamines to suppress their appetite and nutty anorexics who eat almost nothing.
