Having a Kimchi, Sauerkraut and Pickles Feast

A few hours short of two days was all it took to ferment all that.

My secret solution (made with edible stuff) which I use to make wine in three days, was added for super-accelerated fermentation.

There was no observable fermentation for the sauerkraut and pickles after the first 24 hours because I had forgotten to add my secret solution to them. So, I drained both containers and added the solution yesterday.

Both sauerkraut and pickles are sour now, but I'm going to let them ferment for one more day before putting them into the refrigerator.

This time round, I added some cheap Chinese frozen raw oysters to my kimchi. The vegetables taste fine but the taste of the oysters is sort of repulsive....yet tasty.....Well, I'll need to get used that. :-)

Global Warming is a Scam!

"Top US scientist Hal Lewis resigned this week from his post at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He admitted global warming climate change was nothing but a scam in his resignation letter."

I told you.......I told you.........

I haven't used my "God Helmet" for quite a while, and it has gathered a lot of dust.

Today, I'm using it.

PS: It's not just for everybody, so don't get this unless you want to be "lobotomised".

Encoding with Handbrake

I'm encoding a DVD with Handbrake now, with my lousy laptop. Surprisingly, it didn't seem to slow the system down much.

Owning an SSD certainly makes a huge difference. :-)

Toshiba 1.8" ZIF Hard Disk

Not long ago, I replaced my laptop's slow ZIF hard disk with a Compact Flash card.

Today, I got a portable ZIF hard disk enclosure so as to use the ZIF hard disk as a portable drive.

Now, I didn't attempt to sell this hard disk, as I'm under the impression that many people have problems attaching and reattaching ZIF cables. The last thing I want is to have a typical Apple retard (seeking to replace his faulty iPod disk) accuse me of selling faulty hardware. Take a look at negative comments on Ebay and you'll know what I mean. I suspect that in many cases, the buyers are the ones who are defective - not the merchandise. I'm not about to become a victim of someone's stupidity. What I find easy, others might find it to be a big challenge. Now, I don't want to be mean, but that's a harsh reality of life.

This drive is extremely slow. I still haven't quite figured out what to do with this piece of scrap. :-)

amule Causes System Crash

After running amule for some time, there will be high disk activity and then the system will hang.

This problem occurs on both i686 and amd64 architectures, regardless of what desktop environment you use.

It started happening after I set a download limit, under bandwidth.

If you're experiencing the same problem, set the download limit to 0 and you should be fine.
