Some security researchers claim that they've developed a way to partially crack the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) encryption standard, used to protect data on many wireless networks.

I'm not losing sleep over this though, as I'd set my network up to use only WPA2.

Using Tor with Pidgin

The following are instructions on how to configure Pidgin to use Tor.

After creating the new account in Pidgin, click on the Advanced tab.

Under Proxy Options select Socks 5 for Proxy Type. Enter 127.0.0.1 for the Host field and 9050 for the Port number.
