SILICON VALLEY: Indian-born celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon has been indicted on 59 counts of sexual assault involving 20 women and girls, including aspiring models.
Jon, who was charged on March 13, is being held without bail. He faces charges that include rape, lewd acts upon a child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, sexual battery by restraint and attempted forcible oral copulation.
He is accused of setting up a fledgling design business and using it to lure the women to Los Angeles, reported the local television KCBS.
