In a Technology Shakedown, ZDNet Executive Editor David Berlind discovers a reboot feature in Microsoft's Vista operating system that he doesn't like. The feature forces users to reboot their PCs with only a short warning before it happens.
This reminds me of an incident that occurred more than a year ago.

Fellas, my Windoze PC was rebooted AUTOMATICALLY this morning (when I was away at work). When I returned, I realised what had happened and I also noticed that the monitor was flickering badly. I had to change the resolution from 85 Hertz to some other refresh rate and change it back to 85 Hertz again, in order to stop the flickering.
It took me just a few seconds to figure this one out, cos I'm a Linux dude and not some Windoze dummy. Alternatively, U guys might wanna try rebooting your PCs if U encounter the same problem.
I really feel like "scolding bad words" now, but unlike $in-gaporeans, I'm way too civilised to do that. So, what's next?? A complete reformat of the hard disk? Truly, I've lost confidence in this OS. Now, I'm considering transferring all my music and video files to my laptop, cos despite their triviality (they aren't my work files), it makes no sense to lose them to a dumb operating system.
