Genius and Linux

I was reading some stuff about the future and how people could be modified to be geniuses and there could be thousands of Einsteins. I thought, what the world really needs is more people like Linus who work cooperatively with others. I personally think that if people worked together they can and do produce more positive effect than a million Einsteins. :) I have been studying SSWF and that is a neat program and so is Inkscape and Gimp. I am trying to integrate all the actions of these different programs to see how they can be synergistic. Stellarium is a really nice virtual planetarium. There are so many Linux programs, I find a few new neat tools every day. I enjoy seeing how different people solve problems and it adds to my bag of tricks. I am getting close to understanding the relationship between Debian core and Ubuntu. strace, xtrace, ltrace, objdump, file, and several other programs are becoming more familiar. I think the advantage I have here is the fact that unlike when I did dev for Window$ programs, somebody can't pull the rug out from under me when I create a good utility. It is frustrating to work with a core spec that is controlled by a monopoly. I really regret all the years I spent doing .drv development, I think it was a waste.
