Apple Pushing Safari To Windows Users Using A Sneaky Method

A uniquely Micro$oft tactic?? Well, not anymore.

Apple is now using their updater for iTunes to push Safari to Windows users. iTunes and Quicktime Windows users who did not have Safari installed are now seeing it pop up in Software Update.

Mozilla CEO, John Lilly criticized Apple's practice. In his blog, he said, "What Apple is doing now with their Apple Software Update on Windows is wrong. It undermines the trust relationship great companies have with their customers, and that’s bad — not just for Apple, but for the security of the whole Web."
