Compound Document Format (CDF)

Compound Document Format (CDF) is an electronic document format developed by the W3C that contains multiple formats, such as SVG, XHTML, SMIL and Xforms.

The OpenDocument Foundation which previously supported Open Document Format (ODF), has switched alliances and now promotes CDF.
