Anti-virus Software for Linux?
A common misconception that Linux newbies have is that Linux cannot be infected by viruses. That's not true, as
technically speaking, it is possible for a virus to infect the Linux OS
. So,
should you install anti-virus software for a Linux machine
? The answer is (surprisingly)
no antivirus is needed for Linux
, unless you're
running a Linux server and you need to protect Windoze desktop users from viruses
. :-)
