"The girl was alone in her village home at night when three youths from the neighbourhood sneaked in and raped her.
When the wailing girl threatened to bring them to book by naming them, they sprinkled kerosene oil on her and set her ablaze. The youth bolted the house from outside so that she could not call for help, police said.
It was only when her mother reached home Monday morning that she found the girl in a semi-conscious state. She was rushed to the district hospital where she died later in the day. However, the girl managed to give out details of the incident."
