L'Oréal Found Guilty of Racism

Cosmetics giant L'Oréal was yesterday found guilty of racial discrimination for excluding non-white women from promoting its shampoo.

The Garnier division of L'Oréal and a recruitment agency it employed were fined €30,000 each after they recruited women on the basis of race. A senior figure at the agency was also given a three-month suspended prison sentence.
