"For those of you that have been paying attention to previous reports of Microsoft and security vendors clashing over an agreed level of disclosure on specific details deemed needed for creating reliable AV products, you'll be delighted to hear that it appears some progress has been made in this area.
Even though there are currently (as of this writing) no reported AV applications in the mainstream for Vista at this time, all signs are looking good for us to begin seeing AV options coming about in the very near future. This is good, but it also begs an important question: would AV companies be willing to "overstate" a security threat in order to sell more products?"
