Canon Pixma IP1000 "Waste Ink Absorber Is Full" Hack

What do U do when your Canon Pixma IP1000 gives U this message and refuses to print?

Three choices:

i. Get a new printer.

ii. Have it serviced by Canon, as the message suggests.

iii. Do the following.

1. Unplug the power cable from the printer.
2. Press and hold onto the Power button, and then re-attach the power cable to the printer.
3. Release the the Power button and press it again.
