1. The taller you are, the shorter your mini skirt will look. Make sure that your mini skirt is of a comfortable length to you.

2. Be sure to sit with your knees pressed together, or with your legs crossed at ankles, or calves. Mini skirts can reveal your panties if you are not careful.

3. If you have to bend down (to pick something up, for instance), be sure to bring your bottom down too. Bend at your knees while keeping your waist and back straight. If your bottom stays in the air, you could be showing everyone your panties.

4. On windy days, hold your arms by your sides to keep your mini skirt down.

What's in a Japanese School Uniform?

In Japan, boys in secondary school wear an outfit modelled on 19th Century Prussian army uniforms. Called the gakuran, it consists of a dark jacket with stand-up collar and buttons down the front, worn with trousers.

Girls, on the other hand, wear a dress called the sailor fuku, based on European naval uniforms.

But as Christopher Hood, director of Cardiff University's Japanese Studies Centre, points out, the designs have nothing to do with Japan's own military past.

Rather, they date from the establishment of the formal education system in the 1870s, when Japan looked to Germany, France and Britain for ideas.

Interest in school uniform is strong in Japan, he adds, with fashion parades to show off different schools' latest twist on the designs. Even characters in manga, or cartoons, are often dressed in gakuran.

And, as in many countries, uniform policy is strictly adhered to.

"There's a set length for skirts and teachers would take out tape measures to check," Dr Hood told the BBC News website. "Of course kids in Japan, like everywhere, look for ways to bend the rules."

This is in response to a comment on this video on "How To Measure for a Bra".

"the cup size measuring she gives doesn't make sense. She says "we had 32 and now we have 33....".where did those numbers come from? Not clear at all."

I agree with the comment, as the presenter in the video didn't seem to know what she was talking about. :-)

The 33 inches measurement comes from adding 5 to the measurement around the chest directly under the breasts. 26 inches + 5 inches = 31 inches. As bras don't come in odd numbers, as she had explained, 1 was added to round it off to 32. This is the band size. Everything's correct up to this point, but I spotted two serious errors thereafter.

She was supposed to measure around the chest at the pinnacles of the breasts - she measured somewhere above that. I believe the measurement would have been 34 inches rather than 33 inches, had she done it correctly. She foreknew that she was holding onto a cup B bra, but she got the numbers wrong, so that's why it didn't add up.

34 inches - 32 inches = 2 inches. In general, 1 inch is the equivalent of 1 cup size (cup A), so 2 inches would make it a cup B. Therefore, the size is 32B.

What's a Micro Mini Skirt?

A micro mini is about 7.5 inches long (or should that be short!) this contrasts with the original length of the sixties mini at about 9 inches. The micro mini is all about showing off your legs and as they are designed to be worn on the hips they’d look great with a little cropped top to show off even more naked flesh.

Avoid Showing Visible Panty Lines

Visible panty lines (or VPL) show when the outline of someone's underpants becomes visible through her clothes and they can be attributed to any of the following:

1. Thin or wet clothes.

2. Contrasting colours of clothes and underpants. For instance, if someone is wearing black panties and a white skirt, the black panties will most probably show.

3. Tight, figure-hugging clothes. This is especially true when the panties have thick and protruding edges.

Personally speaking, I do not feel that visible panty lines are to be dreaded, but showing them on formal occasions might be embarrassing.

One solution that women have come up with is to wear a g-string, also known as "thong" in America, but that could be unhygienic and very irritating. Another solution is not to wear any underwear. That is not only unhygienic but also very dangerous, as there will be a risk of accidental exposure.

In my opinion, the best solution is to simply wear a slip. There's caveat tough. Take heed when you're sitting; don't let your skirt ride up and reveal your slip or you'll be inviting lustful stares from creeps. *Lol*

Japan Faces Shrinking Pantyhose Market

Pantyhose are becoming an endangered species in Japan, with the bottom falling out of the market, according to Weekly Playboy (2/19).

The Federation of Japan Socks Associations says that in 1996 there were about 680 million pairs of pantyhose produced in Japan, but by 2005, only about 200 million pairs came out -- a staggering 70 percent drop in a decade.

In the peak year of 1989, the market was worth a phenomenal 1.08 billion yen, but is now little more than one-fifth of that size.

Nonetheless, pantyhose lovers can take heart that there is still some good news. Japan's most popular models -- Yuri Ebihara and Moe Oshikiri -- have recently come to the aid of the beleaguered undergarment. The pair, who are said to bring success to any product they plug, released a line of pantyhose called "f*ing Motesto" that sold out within minutes of being released on Dec. 1 last year. A new line is expected out soon and pantyhose sellers are filled with expectations.

Shiga Prefecture's schoolgirls boast of skimpiest skirts in Japan

"We know there was a write-up on the Net about Shiga having the shortest schoolgirl skirts in Japan, but the prefecture hasn't done a survey on anything of that nature. We are fully aware that some of our students have very short skirts," a spokesman for the Shiga Prefectural Board of Education says. "We are teaching our students to be aware that there is a danger that people will film up their skirts if they keep the hems so short."

Shiga's schoolgirls, however, say that nothing's going to deprive them of their microminis.

"There's nothing wrong with wearing a short skirt," an irate Shiga schoolgirl tells Weekly Playboy. "What's wrong are those perverts who deliberately look at our panties. Why should we have to change our fashion just because of a bunch of perverted old men?"
